Belvedere Vodka has recently launched a campaign to find their Global Brand Ambassador. The finalists will be flown to LA in December, after which the winner will be paid $100,000 to trot around the world making cocktails and attending trade parties.All you need to do is visit Belvedere’s Facebook page and upload a video demonstrating your cocktail making skills. Apparently the only quality required is a penchant for exceptional vodka. This is definitely up my street.
Now I do love the sound of this dream job (anything vodka related is a winner to me) but it does sound a little familiar does it not? I do wonder if Belvedere are trying to emulate Tourism Queensland’s Best Job in the World PR campaign. The first of it’s ‘dream job’ kind, it obtained worldwide coverage because it really was the ‘dream job’ for so many people, and the campaign took on a life of it’s own. Perhaps not for everyone, (one word – hangover,) Belvedere’s dream job is perfect however for the outgoing twenty something. And actually, thinking about it, would be perfect for my Nan, who has a penchant for strong ‘cossies’ (cosmopolitans).
