From the Reggae Reggae man (Levi Roots) that appeared on Dragon’s Den - Reggae Reggae
Peanuts and Cashews have recently hit stores. I was expecting them to have more of a punch than they did at first but after a couple of handfuls they are quite a tasty snack. I do think it’s interesting how these punchy flavours like Reggae Reggae and Marmite are expanding upon their brands more and more with different products like these. And you certainly cannot deny that Levi Roots has done pretty well for himself since Dragon’s Den.
I gave this cocktail a whirl called The Grand Espirit. It’s supposed to be a drink to rival Pimms and it’s base is Grand Marnier. Firstly, having never tried Grand Marnier before, it’s a pretty strong liquor let me tell you. With orange undertones I actually really liked it as a neat (but incredibly potent) drink. It’s also super tasty poured over a scoop of vanilla ice-cream.
Anyhoo, the idea is that you mix the Grand Marnier with elderflower cordial, soda water, strawberries and a slice of orange. We couldn’t find elderflower cordial anywhere for love nor money so as the next best thing bought some yummy pear and apple cordial to mix it with. It was quite nice, if a little sweet, although the Pimms did get drunk before this. Perhaps if we had made it how we were supposed to it would have tasted a little less sweet.
